Toro irrigation products for nurseries and greenhouses
Toro's agricultural range runs from Aqua-Traxx drip tape — one of the most widely used tapes in the country — through BlueLine and Neptune dripline to filtration, valves and controls. Their Tempus platform is the part worth knowing about for growers: wireless control with no wire to trench, which is what makes automating an established planting practical.
Toro call this the only flow-controlling drip tape made. Builds on the Aqua-Traxx PBX cross-section, which balances the flowpath to manage turbulence — uniform distribution with less clogging
Laterals and supply runs. Also offered in white for nursery and extreme-climate use to help control water temperature, and in blue/white/purple stripe for zone identification. 7-year warranty
Orchards, vineyards and nursery on undulating ground and long laterals — PC design holds uniform flow and diameter across a wide pressure range, with wider throw than Toro’s earlier micro-sprinklers
Under-tree and overhead in orchards, vineyards and nurseries. Balanced spin rate limits stake vibration; anti-insect, dust-proof spinner retracts to protect the nozzle when off
Tempus CT mains-powered and Tempus MV valve-mount variants; wireless with remote access
Best for
The two field variants of the Tempus platform — CT where mains is available at the head end, MV mounted directly on the valve. Both give wireless remote access, so a block is set and adjusted without walking it, and both take the platform sensor inputs including pump start relay, flow meters, pressure, rain, humidity and soil moisture. Choose CT where there is power and MV where there is not
Battery powered with integrated wireless; available with or without an LCD screen. Programmed from the Toro Tempus DC mobile app
Best for
The unit for a valve with no power to it at all — fully waterproof, battery operated, and programmed from the Tempus DC app rather than at the box. Combined with the wireless link it means a remote block can be automated without trenching either power or signal to it, which is what makes retrofitting an established planting practical
4G, Wi-Fi, LoRa and Bluetooth. Sensor inputs for pump start relay, flow meters, pressure, rain, humidity and soil moisture
Best for
Wireless control with remote access, and the reason it gets specified: there is no wire to trench. On ground that is already planted, or blocks spread across a site, running cable is usually the whole cost of automating — this removes it. Zones are set and adjusted from anywhere instead of walking out to each valve. It also takes sensor inputs — pump start relay, flow meters, pressure, rain, humidity and soil moisture — so the system responds to what the water and the weather are actually doing rather than running to a fixed clock. Handles fertigation as well as irrigation, and carries 4G, Wi-Fi, LoRa and Bluetooth together
1.25 amp transformer, powers up to four solenoids at once; expansion modules are hot-swappable
Sizes
Modular 4 to 16 stations — EVO-4ID indoor, EVO-4OD and EVO-8OD outdoor, with EMOD-4 and EMOD-12 expansion modules
Best for
Uses live temperature and solar readings plus historical weather to work out how much water the system actually needs, and takes up to three soil sensors (one per schedule) to check moisture before it runs. Backlit display, and schedules or individual sprinklers can be started from up to 1,000 ft away. Station count changes without powering down
Ten fully independent resident programs with two program types, including a standard irrigation program that fires a station or group with six start times a day. Run times set in hours, minutes and seconds — useful on mist and propagation where seconds matter
6-station base, expanding in 4-station modules to 22 stations
Best for
Contractor-friendly modular controller — start at six stations and add four at a time as the site grows. Flow monitoring catches a broken lateral instead of letting it run all night, and Wi-Fi is available where there is coverage
Conventional and 2-wire on the same controller; several enclosure options including a plastic cabinet
Sizes
Scalable to 200 stations
Best for
Toro’s commercial-grade controller for centralised internet-based management. It takes conventional wiring and 2-wire in the same unit, which matters when an older block is being extended rather than replaced, and scales to 200 stations
Expands two stations at a time, so the station count matches the job rather than being bought ahead. Suits small commercial and larger residential blocks
Central control software running irrigation across a whole site from one screen, rather than walking to each controller. Schedules, monitors and reports from a computer or mobile device
Runs either Rain Master Laguna or Toro Sentinel software on one platform
Best for
Field satellite for a central-control system, and unusually it takes either Laguna or Sentinel software — so it drops into an existing installation without dictating which platform the site runs
Fibreglass tanks, so corrosion is not the failure mode it is on steel. Complete automated system for drip blocks — media handles the organic load that blinds a screen
Rated to 220 psi; regulates anywhere from 5 to 100 psi
Connection
Glass-filled nylon body; filter screens fitted on 2" and 3"
Sizes
1", 1½", 2" and 3"
Best for
Switches and regulates in one valve, over an unusually wide 5–100 psi band. The 2" and 3" carry an upstream filter screen so debris cannot foul the valve internals
120-mesh stainless steel filter screen, continuously flushed by the flow
Best for
Brass body for dirty-water resistance, and the screen self-flushes as water passes rather than needing to be pulled and cleaned. Available in plastic and brass builds
We sell Toro equipment wholesale to production nurseries, greenhouse operations and horticulture education programs, from our warehouse in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, and ship to growers in all 50 states. Will-call pickup is available during business hours.
The Toro range published by the manufacturer is larger than what any distributor lists online. If the model, size or spacing you need is not on this page, send the part number or describe the job and we'll quote it. For a full system we would rather see your water source, pressure and crop first: tell us those and we'll help you spec it from the pump to the plant.
